Speaking
I got pushed onto a stage at 17 with no preparation. It worked out.
When the instructor didn't show for that insurance class, someone handed it to me. I had no idea what I was doing. But I knew the material, I cared about the people in the room, and I figured out the rest in real time. That's still how I approach speaking — with real knowledge, genuine investment in the audience, and enough comfort with unpredictability to make it feel alive.
I've been speaking at conferences, industry events, women's summits, and corporate stages ever since. What I've learned is that the talks that stay with people aren't the most polished ones. They're the ones where something true got said.
Experience-led keynotes across three intersecting worlds.
My speaking draws on 25 years of commercial insurance, ten years of nonprofit leadership, and a lifetime of building community around women's stories, strengths, and ambitions. I speak to the intersection of business and purpose — what it takes to build something sustainable and meaningful at the same time. I speak to women in leadership — not to motivate them, but to have an honest conversation about what leadership actually demands and what it makes possible. And I speak to the particular courage it takes to show up publicly when you carry real responsibility.
TOPICS
What I speak about
Building from the inside out — how lived experience becomes leadership, systems, and impact. The business case for philanthropy and community investment. Risk, responsibility, and what it actually means to protect people. Women in leadership: what it costs, what it demands, and why it matters. Starting and scaling a nonprofit from scratch. Proximity as strategy — why the rooms you choose to be in determine the direction you grow. Owning your expertise and leading with it publicly.
events that are the perfect fit
Conference organizers who want a speaker who can bridge industry credibility with human resonance. Corporate event leads looking for keynotes on leadership, culture, or purpose. Women's groups and leadership summits that want substance over inspiration theater. Nonprofit convenings that need a speaker who has actually done it. If you want someone who brings lived story and real knowledge to a stage — and can hold a room without relying on slides — we should talk.
What the best talks do.
The feedback I most value isn't "that was inspiring." It's "I've been thinking about what you said all week" and "I went home and had a conversation I'd been avoiding." Good speaking shifts something — a perspective, an assumption, an approach. That's what I aim for in every room I'm in.

EXPERIENCE
The short version of why I’ve earned the stage
25 years in commercial insurance. Founder of a multi-state nonprofit. Jefferson Award winner. Author of two books. Host of two podcasts. Curriculum Board Member for the California Department of Insurance. Speaking at national insurance conferences and women's leadership summits. I bring all of it to the stage — not as a resume, but as a body of lived experience that gives me something real to say.
