At 17, I was thrown into teaching an insurance class when the instructor didn’t show.
😳 Terrifying—but it launched my career in insurance education.
At 23, I started an insurance agency with my dad.
📉 When I would cry at my desk because I had NO idea what I was doing —he would say, “There’s no crying in insurance.” He was right. That experience taught me everything about operations, client management, and what it takes to grow a book from zero.
At 35, I launched a nonprofit with two kids under five.
🍼 Totally insane. And still one of the most rewarding, most complex, and most purpose-driven things I’ve ever done.

PURPOSE & PASSION
Spending 20+ years in the insurance industry building a practice of risk management services geared toward women owned businesses, I fell in love with how women work.
Additionally, over those 20 years, I found a passion in helping single mothers during the holidays.
Realizing my reach was growing and I could do more, I founded a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Nine years ago. Focusing on supporting single mothers and their children. Currently we serve thousands of lives throughout California and now Phoenix too!
Women are dynamic, we are special. I have made it my life’s work to support them and find ways to help them grow. The idea of samanthatradelius.com originally came as a platform to sell my book Impact: Stories of Change Makers, Creators and Everyday Women Doing Extraordinary Work. However, as I built on this idea it grew and grew. Finally, a central location where I could connect other women to each other, share our successes and also provide a platform for women to be HER’d.
